Tech giants have formed an alliance. 16 companies from 11 countries

“Faced with an unprecedented pace of technological change and an increasingly complex environment, countries and customers are looking for greater reliability and resilience among technology providers and the services they provide. At the same time, skepticism about digital technologies and their potentially negative impact on individuals and societies persists. In such conditions, it is crucial that companies across the technology chain work together to address these concerns,” the release reads. Trusted Tech Alliance (TTA), a group of 16 companies from 11 countries.

TTA members pledge to work with governments and customers to ensure that the benefits of new technologies will strengthen public confidence while driving job creation and economic growth.

Trusted Tech Alliance
The five principles of the Trusted Tech Alliance
The participating companies agreed five specific rules defining what it means to develop, implement, operate and collaborate as a trusted global technology provider:
- Transparent corporate governance and ethical conduct
- Operational transparency, safe development and independent assessment
- Robust supply chain and safety supervision
- An open, collaborative, inclusive and resilient digital ecosystem
- Respect for the rule of law and data protection
“These commitments require companies to have strong corporate governance and ethical conduct, securely create and manage technology responsibly throughout its lifecycle, and apply contractually binding safety and quality assurances to suppliers. Companies will require their suppliers to meet high global security standards and support a digital environment that is open, collaborative and encourages innovation,” the release reads.

TTA emphasizes that it will continue to grow its community of global suppliers committed to developing a trusted, interoperable and open technology stack and to shaping common approaches that support national and international efforts to strengthen sovereignty, resilience and competitiveness.
