“Let a woman be in the kitchen, that’s where her place is”: the Russian Orthodox Church called the kitchen a woman’s place
The rector of the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity in Khokhly, Andrei Tkachev, gave a number of instructions to young people in his sermon. Boys must be able to sleep on the ground and eat a piece of bread in order to later join the army.
And a woman’s place should be the kitchen, where she should “swim between all the household stuff.”
Earlier, the archpriest complained about the equal rights of women with men.
