From Petre's wedding, Zeljko Kopic “landed” directly at the conference: “Four players attended”

“It was an important and beautiful event. The club officials were there, me and my staff, four of the players. It was important for us to be there with Florentin and celebrate. It was nice, I was with him, it was really nice. It was a pleasure to be there and I want to wish Florentin all the best in the world.

I didn't stay very long. The players went home early. We are preparing for the match.

This cup match with Hermannstadt was important for us. Now we are only focusing on the recovery of the players and the tactical preparation for the match with Slobozia. Mr. Niculescu is there, he is a new coach, he started by winning with Farul.

Slobozia certainly has ambition and we have to show maximum seriousness and, again, play good football and get three more points, which are very important for us.

The team is in good shape. Cîrjan is suspended due to the accumulation of yellow cards. Otherwise, all players are ready for this match.

Those from Slobozia will come motivated, with good energy. They are not fighting for the play-offs, but no one expected this goal. They are fighting to avoid relegation. We know they have quality players, they have speed on the offensive line and it will definitely be a tough game.

But I believe in us, in what we do, what we work on. The team is in a good period and we want to continue on the same line, with good results

It's not an easy game, we can say that on paper, but look at what happens in the Super League, every game is tough. We have to be focused, motivated and we have our discussions, how we prepare every match to be motivated.

We don't need extra motivation. We are fighting for the top positions and for our club, this must be normal, let's be ready to win every match”, stated Zeljko Kopic, at the press conference.

Kopic doesn't think Super League refereeing errors are intentional: 'Conspiracy theory'

Asked about the frequent mistakes of referees in the Super League, Kopic he preferred not to comment too much. In his view, they are not intentional.

“I don't want to discuss that kind of thing. I can say it was the referee's mistake (no – Radu Petrescu)that's about it. I don't believe in conspiracy theory. It was a big mistake and that's about it.”

I understand that every coach depends on results. I understand the situation, but this is football. Everyone must take care and be responsible for their actions. We will see what the final decision will be in this case, but we have to accept such situations and continue to fight“, added the Croatian coach.

I respect Claudiu Niculescu very much. I know all about him as a player, but as a coach he has done good things. I already played once when he was at Voluntari, in a Cup match. I know how he works, he is a quality coach. I have the utmost respect for him.

We just focus on our game. There are four more matches. We will see who will be in the play-offs and then we can have such discussions. At the moment we are only thinking about what we have to do in our matches.
