Survey about the SAFE program. This is what Poles think

236 MPs voted for the adoption of regulations implementing the SAFE instrument, 199 were against and four abstained.
The act was supported by the Civic Coalition, Left, PSL and Polski 2050 clubs. Law and Justice and Confederation were against.

Survey: Poles about the SAFE program
“How do you evaluate the EU SAFE program, under which Poland is to obtain low-interest loans worth EUR 44 billion, which are to be allocated to strengthening the country's defense? — this was exactly the question that SW Research asked Poles on behalf of “Rzeczpospolita”.
The survey results were as follows:
45.4 percent survey participants assessed the SAFE program positively,
21.8 percent expressed a negative opinion,
32.8 percent respondents were unable to define their position on this issue.
Przemysław Wesołowski, president of the SW Research agency, pointed out that the program is assessed better by men than women. 50 percent had a positive opinion about it. men and 41 percent women.
The survey was conducted on February 10–11, 2026 by the SW Research agency on a group of 800 Internet users over 18 years of age.

What is the SAFE program?
SAFE (Security Action for Europe) was established during the Polish Presidency of the EU Council, and our country has been actively seeking to launch this instrument from the beginning. The program was created in response to the growing threat from Russia.
“Aims to provide financial support to member states to accelerate defense preparedness,” EU officials say on their website. The purchases are to include primarily military equipment manufactured in Europe.
