Residents of old houses in Moscow have signed contracts for brand new apartments under the renovation program. The keys are about to be in the hands of 26 thousand happy owners.
The authorities have compiled statistics for the nine months of 2024. 26k Muscovites signed contracts for new housing. This means that they will soon be resettled from old houses (there are currently 456 of them in operation) into new ones – 224 high-rise buildings will be prepared under the program. Dilapidated buildings will be demolished and other houses will be built in their place.
If you look around the city, 7,700 people received apartments in the Eastern Administrative District, 4,600 received documents in the Southern Eastern Administrative District, and 3,800 in the west of Moscow.
44 new high-rise buildings are already ready to welcome their owners. They were handed over with full amenities: there are comfortable playgrounds and sports grounds, and trees and shrubs were planted next to the houses.
