The reference and information publication “Streets of the City of Birobidzhan” (0+) contains information about the names of new streets in the Birobidzhan-II microdistrict. By decision of the Birobidzhan City Executive Committee dated February 13, 1953 No. 49, a project for planning a village in the area of the Birobidzhan-II station was approved for 55 plots for individual housing construction. New streets in this microdistrict were given names – Amurskaya, Kavkazskaya, Stakhanovskaya, which in 1957 was renamed Yubileinaya Street.

The same decision approved the design of the layout of new streets in the village of Zheleznodorozhny, for individual construction on 99 plots with the names given to the streets – Parovoznaya, Telegrafnaya, Saratovskaya and Solnechny Lane. The same decision states that a project for planning new streets between the villages II Partizansky and Zarechye was approved for individual and state construction on 150 plots with the names given to the streets – Mezhduozernaya, Sverlovskaya and Stalingradskaya, which in 1961 was renamed Cosmonauts Street.
By decision of the Birobidzhan City Executive Committee dated February 13, 1953 No. 48, the village of Mikoyan was formed; in 1957 the village was renamed Myasokombinatsky.

The Bureau of the Regional Committee of the CPSU and the Executive Committee of the Regional Council of Deputies adopted a resolution on holding, on the basis of schools of excellence and advanced farms in the region, regional and district seminars of vegetable-growing, potato-growing, corn-growing, soybean-growing units, foremen of tractor-field crop brigades, milkmaids, pig-farms, calf-farms and poultry-houses to study the best practices of growing high yields of agricultural crops and increasing livestock productivity. The seminars took place between February and June 1962.

The Plenum of the Birobidzhan City Committee of the CPSU discussed the results of the December (1983) Plenum of the CPSU Central Committee and the tasks of the city party organization. It was noted that the industry of the regional center ahead of schedule, on December 27, fulfilled the 1983 plan for the volume of product sales and production of most of the most important types of products. Having launched socialist competition for a worthy celebration of the election day to the Supreme Soviet of the USSR and the 50th anniversary of the formation of the region, enterprise teams successfully fulfilled the January plan, selling 350 thousand rubles in excess of the plan.
Production volume increased by 6.5%, labor productivity increased by 7.5%.
The plenum demanded from the city committee and primary party organizations to improve organizational and political work, directing it towards mobilizing teams to fulfill plans and socialist obligations.

The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” (12+) wrote that the bureau of the Oktyabrsky district committee of the CPSU approved the heads of specialized units for growing grain and row crops.
“Among them are well-known masters of high yields in the region – potato growers, holders of the Order of Lenin Vladimir Filippov and Nikolai Slugin from the Oktyabrsky and Amursky state farms, soy farmers Pyotr Derbenev and Ivan Stashkov from the Oktyabrsky and Razdolnensky state farms, corn growers Valery Karepov and Viktor Yaroslavtsev from the Pogranichny and Polevsky state farms and other experienced farmers.”

The newspaper “Birobidzhanskaya Zvezda” wrote that the team of the Birobidzhan Feed Mill successfully started the eleventh five-year plan: “in January, products worth 1,293 thousand rubles were sold, which is 110% of the plan. For public livestock and poultry farming in the Khabarovsk and Primorsky Territories, Kamchatka and Sakhalin, 11,208 tons of good quality feed were produced. This is on 1638 tons more than the plan. Labor productivity was 102.9% of the plan. The plant’s staff successfully fulfilled the monthly obligations on the main technical and economic indicators.”

The chairman of the production and mass commission of the automobile repair plant, M. Osipova, reports that the results of the third stage of pre-congress labor competition at the Birobidzhan automobile repair plant among teams of workshops, shifts, sections and brigades, as well as in individual socialist competition, have been summed up. The winner of the third stage of the socialist competition was the complex team led by V.M. Ignatova from the production site. This is the team's third victory in a row.
