The Russian Ministry of Health plans to change the procedure for issuing sick leave. The corresponding document was published on the portal of draft regulatory legal acts.
According to the new rules, a doctor can order a person to go on sick leave no more than 4 times in six months. If an extension or new release from work is required, the decision will be made by a special medical commission.
An exception will be certificates of incapacity for work to care for a sick family member, as well as sick leave during pregnancy and if the person has a socially significant disease or a disease that requires medical care using renal replacement therapy.
