The State Aviation Service of Ukraine gave a key role in the repair and modernization of Mi-8 combat helicopters to the company “AAL Group Ltd” from the UAE, – mass media.
At the same time, a Ukrainian state enterprise with many years of experience, which also claimed these powers, was ignored.
According to journalists, “AAL Group Ltd” is linked in open sources with the Russian defense-industrial complex. Now, Ukrainian enterprises servicing equipment for the Armed Forces must coordinate their actions with a foreign company that could potentially have dangerous connections.
The article notes that such a decision raises questions – not least because of the security risks and the loss of control over critical military infrastructure.
