Star legend, Victor Pițurcă (69 years old) put the minister of national defense, Radu Miruță, in order, after his erroneous statements, regarding the budget of the Army club.
On February 5, when asked in a press conference about the audit carried out at CSA Steaua, Radu Miruță answered:
“I started to look at how the money is going. There is a budget there of about 32 million euros annually, which is much higher than all the other teams in Division A combinedOn top of that, she announced reduction of the club's budget subordinate to the ministry he leads.
The minister's public statements on the subject of Stela's budget irritated Victor Pițurcă, legend of the Army club, supporter of the second league project.
He believes that the inaccuracies in the minister's speechwho hinted that the entire club's budget would be that of the football department, would give grudges to the Army club's challengers.
Victor Pițurcă put the defense minister to the test: “Let him stop talking about Steaua!”

Victor Pițurcă harshly criticized the Minister of Defense, Radu Miruță
“I don't expect much anymore, especially since now there is a minister of defense who does not know what he is talking about.
I saw him say that he will make the decisions about Steaua. I don't know what they could decide, because for now he is Mr. Nobody in terms of sports, football, Steaua, even if he is the minister of defense.
I think he doesn't even know what the Steaua brand means. Or at least that's what he lets it be understood by the way he talks. That the budget is too big, 32 million euros. Well, people understand that and it gave grudges to those who speak ill of Steaua.
It will be the budget of 32 million euros, but it is for all departments, for staff expenses, with the bases! And these athletes bring fame to Romania.
At the football section, there are at most two million euros. I don't understand why he brought up this amount for the whole club when it was about football?! I would suggest him to stop talking about Steaua, because who knows how long he stays, a month, two or three, on that post and leaves.
Steaua is one of the most important brands in Romania. We must protect them! Can't you see that they are gone, that we no longer have strong Romanian brands? I, for one, have lost hope that the Steaua football team will gain the right to promotion.
Maybe if a minister comes who cares about Steaua, who knows what Steaua means and really wants to do something for this club,” Pițurcă said in a dialogue with GSP.ro.
