The cat, named Cathy, was publicly presented in a post on the Facebook page of Bucharest City Hall.

“She is Cathy! The little girl of only 4 months, who is now the cat of the Capital City Hall. General Edil Ciprian Ciucu adopted her and welcomed her today with open arms”, it is stated in the message published by PMB.

According to PMB representatives, Cathy was found on the street with a fractured pelvis, following a road accident. She was taken to a veterinary clinic, where she underwent surgeries, investigations and a recovery process. After her condition stabilized, doctors tried to find her an owner.

This is how the story of the kitten reached Ciprian Ciucu, known animal lover and involved in rescuing abandoned animals. The cat was brought to the Capital City Hall by veterinarians, fully equipped with litter, food and a water fountain.

Cathy is wormed, vaccinated and due to be spayed in a few months.

“She still has the scars of the operation on her hip. She went through a lot of trauma, but physically she is completely recovered. She let herself be taken in the arms of the new master from the first moment and, in less than a minute, she started purring. She came scared, shy, but she relaxed instantly. And after she also received a bag of food, she and the mayor already became the best of friends.” it is also shown in the post.

Cathy will live in the Mayor General's office, where “you'll still be frowning, among meetings, decisions and problems”. At the end of the post, representatives of Bucharest City Hall sent him a welcome message: “Welcome to our team, Cathy!”.
