A judoka was disqualified for crossing himself during the Paris Olympics.
The International Judo Federation has suspended Serbian athlete Nemanja Majdov for five months. The reason is a demonstration of a religious gesture at an official competition. Maidov crossed himself while entering the fight at the Olympic Games.
The athlete did not apologize for his “misconduct”; he was banned from participating in all tournaments, training camps and training sessions.

Of course, in my speech in my defense I did not want to apologize for the baptism. I will never do this. The Lord gave me everything, for me he is number one. This will not change under any circumstances. I am sorry that such a beautiful and difficult sport as judo has fallen to such things.
