CFR Cluj – Rapid 1-1. Olimpiu Moruțan (26 years old), the most resounding transfer made by Giulești this winter, reacted after the elimination from the Romanian Betano Cup. He replaced Tobias Christensen (25 years old) in the 53rd minute.

Moruțan claims that the game was extremely balanced, and this was also influenced by the difficult terrain. The focus is now on the championship, the only goal left this season.

Olimpiu Moruțan, statements after the first missed goal at Rapid: “We will have another opportunity to play with CFR”

“Tonight our game didn't work out and we didn't manage to win. It was a balanced game, everyone tried to keep the result, we wanted the victory, CFR was waiting for us to attack them, we didn't have many opportunities and we are sorry for tonight.

The pitch didn't help us much either, but that's no excuse. We have to focus now on the championship, clearly we are very disappointed. We want to take the three points in Constanța.

We will have another opportunity to play with CFR and we will definitely win, I hope we win in the play-offs, why not? Step by step I will be better and better physically and I am working for it“, said Moruțan, at Digi Sport.

Olimpiu Moruțan has played 5 matches for Rapid so far, without scoring or providing any decisive assist. He is quoted by the specialized website Transfermarkt at 2 million euros.

U Cluj, FC Botoșani, FCSB, Galatasaray, Pisa, Ankaragucu and Aris Salonic are the clubs that Moruțan played for throughout his career.
