Mother of a famous presenter kidnapped for ransom. The police arrested the suspect

The case of the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie made a huge splash in the USA. It became one of the main topics in the local media. The Pima County Sheriff's Office released a statement Tuesday evening explaining that officers “stopped an individual during a traffic stop” and that he was “being questioned in connection with the investigation into Nancy Guthrie.”
Why is Savannah Guthrie's mother suspected of kidnapping?
Where was the person suspected of kidnapping detained?
What details about the kidnapping have been revealed by the police?
When was the presenter's mother last seen?
Neither a law enforcement official nor the sheriff's office has provided further details at this time. Reuters noted that it is also unclear whether the “suspect” and the “person stopped during a traffic stop” south of Tucson are the same person. The services did not reveal exactly whether the kidnappers presented specific demands or whether arrangements were made to provide the ransom.
The apparent breakthrough came hours after authorities released video and photos of an armed man wearing a balaclava at the door of Nancy Guthrie's home near Tucson taken the morning of the kidnapping.
The presenter's mother could have been kidnapped for ransom
Photos released by the FBI and Pima County Sheriff's Office show a man wearing gloves and a backpack with what appears to be a holstered gun as he approaches the front door of Nancy Guthrie's home.
Law enforcement officials said the footage from the Google Nest camera mounted on the doorbell was recorded in the early morning hours of February 1. This is around the time authorities believe Guthrie was likely kidnapped for ransom.
According to the Sheriff's Office, the presenter's mother was last seen on the night of January 31, when her family took her home after having dinner together. Her relatives reported her missing the next day when she did not show up for Sunday mass.
