PKP Intercity launches “My IC” – points can be exchanged for free tickets

PKP Intercity boasted the first details of the “Moje IC” loyalty program, which is to enter into force in spring. The main benefit will be the ability to exchange collected points for free train tickets – informs “Rynek Kolejowy”.

The “Moje IC” program – according to current assumptions – is to be launched before this year's May weekend – on April 22. It will work – like most campaigns of this type – on the principle: the more you travel and the more you spend, the less you pay. For each route traveled, holders of an active account in the application will receive points – depending on the length of the route and the selected train category.

After collecting the appropriate number of points, they can be exchanged for discounts or even free travel. Importantly, the “Moje IC” program will be fully integrated with the existing PKP Intercity application.

However, PKP Intercity does not provide – at least for now – cooperation with other companies and the possibility of exchanging points collected under other loyalty programs for cheaper journeys. As Joanna Siecińska from the management board of PKP Intercity announced in “Rynek Kolejowy”, “Moje IC” will, however, include cooperation with Wars. The collected points will most likely be exchangeable not only for cheaper train journeys, but also for meals on board.
