PSD Buzău president, deputy Romeo Lungu, told the mayor of the county seat, Constantin Toma, to stop criticizing his party colleagues and “to do more administration and less politics”. The message comes two days after Toma said that the PSD leaders are playing “a very dangerous game” that could lead to the coalition of the social democrats with the AUR.

“I believe that Mayor Constantin Toma should do more administration and less politics. Buzoians did not elect a politician at the head of the municipality who suddenly became the defender of the blind austerity represented by Prime Minister Bolojan, but an administrator who constantly campaigned for economic and social development”, wrote Romeo Lungu, in a post on Facebook.

Lungu reminds him that Toma's successes as mayor are also due to the support received from the PSD representatives in the local and central administration.

“I know it's fashionable to attack your party colleagues in order to gain visibility on certain news channels, but it seems at least paradoxical that, almost simultaneously, you stand by those you criticize, content to sign financing contracts worth tens of millions of lei for water-sewer networks and public lighting,” continues Romeo Lungu.

He invited Constantin Toma to be primarily concerned with the interests of the people of Buzo, threatened by local budget cuts and the freezing of development projects. “I am convinced that Buzoians do not flock to the Bolojan fan club,” Lungu concluded.

Toma: “We are moving towards the alliance with AUR”

The social-democratic mayor of Buzău, Constantin Toma, accused the PSD leadership of “playing a very dangerous game” and believes that the parties in the governing coalition are losing the trust of citizens, while AUR is “growing at full speed”.

Asked, on Digi24, in the Sunday edition of the “In front of you” show, under what conditions an alliance between PSD and AUR is possible, Constantin Toma answered: “Well, if we go down this line, we won't have a choice. I don't know, I hope this doesn't happen, but, in my opinion, what are Mr. Grindeanu and the team from Bucharest playing at, we are heading towards an alliance with AUR”.

“It's a disaster. So we're going head-to-head. I'm talking about all the parties in the coalition, maybe USR can move something more. Anyway, this was expected, because all this crazy game we're in only leads to the loss of trust in these parties. GOLD is growing at full speed,” the mayor continued.
