“Bridgerton” reaffirmed its status as Netflix's star series, with season 4 watched by millions around the world. One detail attracted attention and was widely commented on by fans.

Fans of the series noticed an editing error in the very first episode of the new season. A novel “accessory” for the era in which the action is set was noticed by the audience.

A small patch of skin color can be seen on the left ear of actress Katie Leung, who plays Araminta, used to cover her piercing.

Although it was very small, eagle-eyed fans spotted the accessory invented only in 1920 and commented intensely on TikTok, criticizing the producers of the series for not noticing this error, writes The Independent.

There were also fans who reprimanded those who flagged the error. “Honestly, I don't understand why anyone cares about stuff like this. It's very subtle, and Bridgerton clearly doesn't care about historical accuracy,” wrote one netizen, labeling critics of the romantic drama set in early 1800s London as “over the top.”

Neither Katie Leung nor Netflix have commented on the publicly reported error.

Released at the end of January on the streaming platform, season 4 was viewed 40 million times in the first four days, according to News.ro.

Fans have almost three more weeks to wait until “Bridgerton” returns with four new episodes on February 26, 2026.
