After receiving the invitation, Romania started a consultation process with the American side to clarify to what extent certain provisions of the Peace Council Charter can be revised or interpreted so that they are fully compatible with the international obligations already assumed by the Romanian state, the president wrote on Facebook.

“The decision regarding Romania's participation in the February 19 event will be taken following discussions with the American partners regarding the format of the meeting with countries like Romania, which are not currently members of the Council, but wish to join under the terms of the revision of the Charter”, transmitted Nicușor Dan.
