The messages were sent in 2003 and are among the millions of documents released by the US Department of Justice (DOJ). In one exchange, Wasserman wrote to Maxwell: “I think about you all the time… So what do I have to do to see you in a skin tight outfit?”according to the BBC.

Wasserman has been the face of the 2028 Games for a decade, helping to promote Los Angeles' 2017 IOC bid.

“I deeply regret my correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell, which took place more than two decades ago, long before her appalling deeds came to light”Wasserman said in a statement. The official says he “never had a personal or business relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.”

Ghislaine Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for the recruitment and trafficking of underage girls for the purpose of sexual abuse by financier Epstein before his death in custody in 2019.

The documents published by the US government do not show any illegal act done by the head of the Olympic Games organization, but it is only one of the many testimonies that show the infamous circle of Jeffrey Epstein, the financier accused of numerous sex parties and immoral events.

Epstein, who was convicted of sex crimes in 2008, was found dead in his cell in a New York prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges.
