Tariffs on countries trading with Iran
Donald Trump signed an executive order imposing tariffs on goods from countries trading with Iran. Specific rates have not yet been set, but 25 percent has been given as an example. The tariffs were announced on the day when US-Iranian talks on the nuclear program were held in Oman, which – according to available information – did not lead to an agreement on limiting uranium enrichment. Almost at the same time, US President Donald Trump assessed that the talks with Iran were positive and expressed his belief that Iran “very much wants to conclude an agreement” with the United States.
The US is pressing Russia and Ukraine for an agreement
According to Reuters, the United States and Ukraine are talking about a plan to end the war with Russia. The Americans were to suggest a date for signing the agreement in March and holding elections and a referendum in May, but Ukrainian interlocutors considered the proposed date unrealistic due to legislative and security requirements. The main point of contention remains the issue of controlled territories, especially Donbas.
Poland picked up fighters
On Saturday morning, the Operational Command of the Branches of the Armed Forces announced that due to the activity of long-range aviation of the Russian Federation carrying out strikes on the territory of Ukraine, military aviation began operating in Polish airspace. As emphasized in the announcement, “these actions are preventive in nature.”
