Regional deputies in Krasnoyarsk “Kamenka” discussed the work of the “First Movement”

Deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory held a visiting meeting in the Kamenka art space in Krasnoyarsk. At it, the parliamentary committee on sports, youth policy, tourism and development of the public environment discussed the work of the regional branch of the “Movement of the First”.

The head of the agency for youth policy and implementation of social development programs, Viktor Kolomiets, and the chairman of the Council of the regional branch of the First Movement, Ksenia Yurlagina, told members of parliament about it. According to them, the movement now numbers more than 260 thousand people, and more than 100 thousand people have joined its ranks in a year. 60 branches received financial support in the amount of 14.2 million rubles. The Krasnoyarsk Territory entered the top 15 regions in terms of the volume of prize money and the number of winners.

The region hosted the district stage of the All-Russian military-patriotic game “Zarnitsa 2.0” and the final of the All-Russian project “Challenge of the First”. Almost 6 thousand members of the movement were involved in celebrating the anniversary of the Victory, more than 11 thousand people marched in the “Immortal Regiment”. Also, the “Movement of the First” took part in the improvement of 134 memorial places. The “firsts” became guests of federal forums, where they repeatedly became winners and prize-winners.

“We annually sum up the results of our activities and plan the future work of the First Movement. Despite its youth, it has already become one of the main youth movements in the country. It is united by hundreds of thousands of children – representatives of primary branches based in schools and local cells. In terms of the number of events held and the youth involved, including schoolchildren, this is today the most massive movement, uniting a wide variety of interests and initiatives. All these projects are being implemented with the active participation of the children. A number of activities are supported from the regional budget in order to expand their coverage. We will continue this work; it is the most important element of the patriotic and educational process. Such activities need to be fully supported,” said the chairman of the relevant committee, Alexander Novikov.
