Private owners began to massively sell out gas stations in Dagestan and Chechnya after explosions at gas stations. Within a few months, the number of offers increased by 300% due to more checks. The ex-fuel kings are confident that they will not pass them and want to get rid of the business as quickly as possible.
The average bill for a non-chain gas station is now 12 million rubles. For this, the future owner will receive a profitable business. But it is necessary to invest in it due to tightening control. Several local entrepreneurs told Mash: recently, every visit by the authorities resulted in an average of seven safety violations. Most often these are: outdated equipment and fire-fighting systems, poor-quality conditions for storing fuel, its transportation, and so on. Naturally, in such situations, the points are temporarily closed, which causes large losses. Plus there are fines. As the head of Dagestan Melikov reported, only the last inspection in the republic revealed 17k violations.
People get tired, don’t want to invest, lock everything up and sell it. Now you can buy 10–12 stations in Dagestan and about seven in Chechnya (ads are periodically closed and opened). Individual entrepreneurs say that a couple of years ago only unclaimed gas stations were sold, but now they are sold almost in city centers.
Since August 2023, three explosions have occurred at gas stations in the republics. A total of 50 people died.
