If, when bending over or walking, you notice that your buttocks seem flattened, the skin below you loses its definition, or your silhouette looks blurry in tight jeans, it’s not a matter of excess weight. The reason is the weakening of the gluteus maximus muscle, which is disabled during a sedentary lifestyle and lack of vertical load. But you don't need to join a fitness club or do hundreds of squats. Just 6-7 minutes a day of simple movements are enough to gently activate deep muscles and improve skin tone.
Perform this ritual in the morning after waking up or in the evening before showering.
1. Raising the pelvis with a delay – 10 times
Lie on your back, knees bent, feet on the floor, arms along your body. As you exhale, slowly lift your pelvis up, tensing your buttocks. At the top point, squeeze them, as if you were holding a piece of paper between them, and hold for 15 seconds. Lower yourself smoothly, but do not place your pelvis completely on the floor. Repeat 10 times.
2. Walking on the buttocks – 1 minute
Sit on the floor, legs extended, hands behind your back for support. Tighten your buttocks and step forward and backward, moving only due to their work. This activates the gluteus medius and minimus, which are responsible for the shape of the sides and the lift from the bottom.
3. Light tapping – 1 minute
While standing or lying down, lightly tap your fingertips over the entire surface of the buttocks, from top to bottom, from the center to the sides. This stimulates microcirculation, improves lymphatic drainage and helps the skin respond faster to exercise.
4. Static at the wall – 20 seconds
Stand against a wall: your heels, buttocks, shoulder blades and the back of your head touch the surface. Squeeze your glutes and core to maintain this position. Hold for 20 seconds, then relax. Repeat 2 times.
After just 4-5 days, you will notice that your movements have become more confident, and when walking you have a feeling of elasticity. By day 10–12, your buttocks will become more collected, your skin will be smooth, and in dresses and jeans you will feel comfortable and confident without going to the gym, without dieting, simply because the muscles have started working again.
