A couple and their two teenage sons — both diagnosed with severe autism — were found dead on January 30 in their home in Mosman Park, Western Australia. The case shocked the entire country, and the police are investigating a possible murder followed by suicide, TotuldespreMame writes.
According to Australian authorities, the tragedy was discovered by a police crew alerted by an acquaintance of the family. A note was found on the door of the house with the text: “do not enter, call the police!”. The research carried out to date has shown that the parents faced difficulties in caring for the two children.
According to People.com, the parents, Jarrod Clune, 50, and Maiwenna Goasdoue, 49, and their two sons, Leon, 16, and Otis, 14, along with the family's three pets, were found dead in different rooms of the home.
What the authorities say
According to Western Australia police, there is no indication that another person was involved and investigators have not identified any weapons or signs of external violence. The authorities also stated that there were no previous reports of domestic violence or police interventions at this address. Detectives confirmed that a second note was also discovered inside the house, which contained administrative and financial instructions, suggesting the gesture may have been pre-planned.
