In Krasnoyarsk, Krasnoyarsk Interdistrict Clinical Hospital No. 4 on Kutuzov Street launched psychological courses for women facing infertility and preparing for the IVF procedure. Program “I want to be a mother!” helps to tune in to treatment and cope with fears.

The course was developed by staff psychologists of the Department of Assisted Reproductive Technologies Tatyana Zhukova and Elena Galantseva. It is intended both for patients registered for infertility, and for those whose documents have already been approved for IVF.

“In the process of working with patients, specialists help to properly tune in to medical procedures for the treatment of infertility, work through unconscious fears about pregnancy, childbirth and future parenthood, and understand why the psyche triggers a bodily symptom that blocks the onset of pregnancy,” explained the regional Ministry of Health.

The classes use art therapy techniques, a genogram, as well as meditation and metaphorical maps. Special attention is paid to working with family histories and relationships in couples.

The first group has already completed their training and is now recruiting for a new group. To join the course, you must sign up for a personal consultation with a psychologist by phone 201-87-10 (ext. 1).
