A location for a new cemetery has been identified in Krasnoyarsk. The Ministry of Agriculture of the region changed the status of a land plot of 40 hectares in the Solontsovsky village council in order to place a public graveyard there.

According to the publication Gorod Prima, the cemetery is planned to be built behind Krazovskaya Street, not far from the city border. The corresponding order was signed by the regional Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Voropaev.

The issue of the lack of space in existing city cemeteries has been raised several times, most recently in March 2025 by former mayor Vladislav Loginov. At the same time, he pointed to the area outside the territory of the Krasmash (KrAZ) plant as a reserve site for a new graveyard and ordered the start of preparatory work.

Now this territory, belonging to the Emelyanovsky district, has become part of Krasnoyarsk.
