Santander Bank Polska estimates the impact of rebranding costs on Erste Bank Polska on the results in 2026 at approximately PLN 250 million, the bank announced in its presentation.

As of January 9, Santander Bank Polska, the third largest bank in Poland in terms of asset value, has a new main shareholder – Erste Group. Santander Group and Erste Group then confirmed the finalization of the purchase transaction of 49 percent. shares of Santander Bank Polska and 50 percent shares of Santander TFI and thus Santander Bank Polska joined the Austrian financial group Erste.

At the end of January, the extraordinary general meeting of Santander Bank Polska decided to change the bank's name to Erste Bank Polska. The brand change will also cover companies of the Santander Bank Polska group that have “Santander” in their name, excluding Santander Consumer Bank in Poland, with subsidiaries, which now fully belongs to the Santander group.

According to previous information, the bank will start the brand change process in the second quarter of 2026 (PAP Biznes)
