Watch from one of the rarest collections in the world
The Richard Mille watch that was allegedly stolen from Cătălin Botezatu is most likely part of the Sapphire series, notes the British tabloid. Sapphire is considered one of the rarest watch collections in the world.
These watches are made from fully carved sapphire crystal blocks. There are four models: RM 56-02 Tourbillon, RM 56-01, RM 27-04 and RM 52-05.
Models are highly sought after among celebrities. Tennis legend Rafael Nadal is known to own such a watch, as is Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc.
American rapper Jay-Z also has a Richard Mille RM 056 Blueprint, a prototype valued at around £2 million.
