A man who shot two hunters in the Taldom forest near Moscow has been detained. According to our information, this is 41-year-old Roman Meltzer. According to him, he did not shoot at people, but at bushes.
During searches in his house, several guns, ammunition, camouflage clothing and other military paraphernalia were found. Investigators are now working with him. The Moscow Region Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against Roman under the article “Murder”.
On November 18, Meltzer killed 40-year-old Maxim K. and wounded 42-year-old Viktor I., who were also hunting in the forest near the town of Taldom, Moscow Region. After being hospitalized, the victim told police that he did not see the shooter. I just heard his comrade scream in pain and fall. Then he himself felt pain – a shot hit his leg.
