Chicken cutlets are the perfect dinner when you want a filling but not heavy meal. And to make them tender, not dry and without a “chicken” smell, one simple trick is enough. The whole family will eat every crumb, even those who usually refuse chicken.
Ingredients:
minced chicken – 400 g
egg – 1 pc.
quick oatmeal – 2 tbsp. l.
onion – ½ pc.
salt, black pepper, a pinch of ground cumin
vegetable oil – just a little bit
How to cook:
- Wash the onion, grate it on a fine grater and squeeze out the juice.
- In a bowl, mix minced meat, egg, onion, oatmeal, salt, pepper and cumin. Cumin gently neutralizes the smell of meat without interrupting the taste.
- Knead the mass well, it should become elastic.
- Form small cutlets.
- Heat a frying pan with a minimum amount of oil.
- Fry for 4 minutes on one side, 4 minutes on the other over medium heat.
- Place the finished cutlets on a paper towel to absorb any remaining fat.
The cutlets turn out golden, with a light crust and a juicy center. They do not smell, do not splash, do not shrink when frying and go well with stewed vegetables, buckwheat or a light salad.
Bon appetit!
