

The forecaster said that the first week of the month will be accompanied by severe frosts. In the north and eastern regions, temperatures at night will drop to -30 °C in some places; frosts of -14…-20 °C are predicted during the day. In the southern regions, as well as in the Donetsk region, thermometers will show up to -21 °C at night, and -8…-13 °C during the day.
Semilita predicts icy conditions and accumulation of wet snow in some places, especially in the south and in the Dnepropetrovsk region. Forecasters foresee a third level of danger (red) for certain regions due to very low temperatures and difficult road conditions.
Crimea and Transcarpathia will remain the warmest: at night -6…-11 °C, during the day -1…-6 °C.
Monthly precipitation in the country is predicted to be within normal limits – 29–67 mm, in the Carpathians in some places 74–83 mm.
Semilita noted that February will surprise with rather severe temperature conditions in Ukraine.
“Only in Transcarpathia, due to the influence of the mountains that protect the region from cold northern air, the temperature will be about 0 °C,” the forecaster added.
Previously, the State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations warned that From February 1 to February 3, there will be severe frosts in Ukraine, down to -30 °C in some places.
