The policemen in Ialomiţa were informed, on Saturday, by calling 112, about the discovery of some remains that could be human, in the municipality of Slobozia, announced the Ialomiţa County Police Inspectorate, quoted by News.ro.
According to IPJ Ialomiţa, the notification was made around 09:00 by a person who, while walking his pet dog, noticed the remains near a house in the Tineretului district.
“A complex operative team went to the scene to carry out investigations and establish the actual situation”, states the quoted source.
The authorities immediately started a search in the area, which was attended by approximately 40 policemen, gendarmes and local policemen, as well as two canine teams, one specialized in processing the scent trail and the other in detecting corpses.
An area of 122 hectares was checked, without identifying elements leading to the clarification of the case.
A drone belonging to the Slobozia Local Police was also used to support the operations.
Investigations are being continued under the aspect of committing the crime of manslaughter, under the coordination of the Public Prosecutor's Office attached to the Slobozia Court, IPJ Ialomiţa also says.
