A 59-year-old man from the town of Condeşti, Ialomiţa county, was detained for 24 hours, after allegedly killing a dog, tying it to a cart and dragging it, the Ialomiţa County Police Inspectorate reported.

According to the police, the act allegedly took place on January 30, and the notification was made by a citizen from Bărcăneşti commune. The police officers of Section no. 4 Coşereni Rural Police were informed that a canine specimen was allegedly killed after being tied with a string to a cart and dragged, News writes.
Following the investigations and the collected evidence, under the coordination of a prosecutor from the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Urziceni Court, the man suspected of committing the act was identified and detained for 24 hours, being taken to the Detention and Preventive Arrest Center of the inspectorate.
