In August, electricity prices fell even after the change in price caps — ExPro

The weighted average price on the day-ahead market for the first 15 days of August amounted to UAH 5,511/MWh — 6% less than last year.
“Despite the increase in marginal price caps, there was no sharp increase in prices on the electricity market,” ExPro analysts note.
The changes touched only
during the “evening peak” hours (8-11 p.m.), where prices increased by 11-33%, and in the period from 3-7 p.m. they even decreased.
The most expensive hours are covered by imports: in the first 15 days of August, Ukraine imported 206.2 thousand MWh and exported 135 thousand MWh.
