
Ukrainian culinary Instagram blogger Alexander Ogorodnik shared a recipe for homemade bread on Instagram.
“99% of people will start baking bread at home after this video,” said Ogorodnik.
Ingredients for two baguettes:
- flour – 500 g;
- cold water – 350 g;
- salt – 10 g;
- dry yeast – 1 g.
Preparation
- In a bowl, mix flour, salt and yeast. Add cold water and stir with a spoon until the ingredients are combined, no more than one to two minutes. The dough will be sticky and rough.
- Cover the bowl with cling film and leave for 10–12 hours at room temperature.
- Sprinkle the work surface generously with flour (it is better to choose coarse flour). Carefully turn the dough over without destroying the airiness. Use a spatula or spatula to easily tuck the edges inward.
- Divide the dough into two parts.
- Turn each piece seam side up. This will give the characteristic torn stripes on top.
- Preheat the oven to 250 °C in convection mode.
- Place the empty lower baking tray to steam. Pour about 100 ml of water onto the bottom tray and quickly close the oven. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
