In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a resident of Kansk became a defendant in three criminal cases for fictitious registration of nonresident citizens, police reported.

A 28-year-old woman owns a small private house in Kansk. The police said that the police became interested in her by accident: in October last year, a local police officer walked past the house and picked up a receipt for payment for housing and communal services from the ground. He was interested in the number of registered people: 21 people allegedly lived in the house. At the same time, the house itself looked uninhabited.

“The policeman found out that the landlady, who had not previously come to the attention of the police department, at various times fictitiously registered Russians who came from other districts of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in her empty house. Among the new residents of the “rubber” monastery were the woman’s relatives and out-of-town guests who needed formal registration in order to be able to settle in the city and improve their living conditions,” the police said.

For each permanent registration, a woman took 10 thousand rubles, the price for a temporary one was 5 thousand rubles. Moreover, even relatives gave her the reward. The woman did not know where people actually lived. Therefore, only from the police who came to check did I learn about the death of one of the “neighbors”.

Information about the “rubber” apartment was transferred to the Kansk police. Three criminal cases were opened against the woman regarding fictitious registration (Article 322.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). She may face a fine of up to 500 thousand rubles, forced labor or imprisonment for up to 5 years. The woman is awaiting trial on her own recognizance. Police officers continue to work to establish similar crimes committed by a resident of Kansk.
