“The command of the 122nd Regiment sentenced its soldiers to extermination in Kupiansk. Agent Atesh from the 122nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces informs about the critical situation that arose in [sektorze] Kupiańska for a reason lies of the Russian command“, we read in the statement.
Atesh claims that the regiment's command prematurely announced the capture of several positions in the city and its outskirts, wanting to show Moscow quick successes and strengthen its negotiating position.
As reported by the Atesz movement, these areas are already listed in official documents as rear zones, while in fact they are fierce fighting continues.
“As a result, the attack groups of the occupiers, disabled by Ukrainian fire in urban areas, find themselves in a bureaucratic trap. They request fire support to suppress Ukrainian machine gun and sniper positions, but the artillery of the 122nd Regiment remains silent,” the report reads.
According to official documents and headquarters maps, Russian troops are allegedly already present in this sector, which formally prohibits artillery fire at the coordinates.
Agent Atesz in the artillery unit says that the situation favors the resistance movement. The gun crews, invoking the prohibition to fire on “their own territories”, effectively leave the front infantry units without support. “While the command is making positive reports, their assault troops are being methodically destroyed in fire pockets, with no chance of help,” the report reads.
“The lies of the generals have become the most effective weapon against the Russian army itself.”
Clearing the area
Meanwhile, State Border Service spokesman Andriy Demchenko said during a nationwide teleconference that in the Kharkov region, Ukrainian forces were clearing settlements and taking Russian soldiers prisoner after failed attacks.
According to Demchenko, Moscow is still trying to penetrate deeper into Ukrainian territory and expand the combat zone. — The hottest areas they are currently located near the settlements of Dihtiarne, Nesterne and Kruhle, the spokesman said.
He reported that Russian forces were trying to advance in small infantry groups without armored vehicles, resulting in heavy losses. — I would like to note that our units are not only repelling the attacks, but also clearing the area, Demchenko said, suggesting an actual defeat of the Kremlin forces.
He added that Ukrainian troops are taking captive Russian soldiers who are trying to get into Ukrainian territory. The spokesman also said that Russian activity remains high in the area of the village of Volchańskie Khutory, in defense zones maintained by border guard units.
Ukraine recently rejected claims by the Russian General Staff that Kupyansk-Vuzlovy in the Kharkiv region had been captured, saying the settlement remains under Ukrainian control.
Putin's parallel reality
The denial came from Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. He accused the head of the Russian General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, of creating a “parallel reality” for Vladimir Putin.
— Gerasimov reinforces Putin's parallel reality. Another lie regarding the capture of Kupiańska-Vuzlovyi is quite funny because the Russians do not control either Kupiańska-Vuzlovyy, Kovalenko said.
He added that Ukrainian forces were close to completely driving out Russian troops from the Kupyansk area, and claimed that Gerasimov was presenting Putin with reports on paper that did not reflect reality.
According to Kovalenko, Moscow's goal is to fabricate “breakthroughs on the front” for its domestic audience and then amplify that narrative abroad using a network of bots, banking on the fact that foreign audiences may not understand the local geography or situation.
The Ukrainian Joint Forces Group also rejected the Russian claims, stating that Kupyansk-Vuzlovy “not only is not under the control of the invaders, but is not even adjacent to the direct line of contact,” and accusing Russian generals of inventing successes.
