Germany, Denmark, Croatia and Iceland are the 4 semi-finalists from the European Men's Handball Championship. The world champion was already qualified in the “ace box”, while the other 3 teams secured their presence in the penultimate act of the continental tournament on Wednesday, January 28.
Today, the European Handball Federation scheduled the last 6 matches of the main group stage of the European Men's Handball Championship. After the first 4 games, all the national teams that will play in the semifinals of the competition are known.

Starting at 21:30, the European Championship is still being played Denmark – Norway and Switzerland – Swedenbut the results of the two confrontations cannot change anything about the semifinalists of the competition.
Iceland had a great performance against Slovenia, winning 39-31 and managing to secure their presence in the penultimate act of the European Championship. The leading scorer was Elliði Snær Viðarsson with 8 goals, followed by Óðinn Ríkharðsson and Ómar Ingi Magnússon with 7 goals each.
Then Portugal won the Iberian Peninsula derby with Spain, 35-27, again Paulo Pereira's national team will most likely finish 3rd in Group A.
Croatia won a crucial duel with Hungary thanks to a second half which they won by 4 goals. Thanks to this result, the Balkans ensured that they could no longer be overtaken by Sweden, who are eliminated from the European Championship.
Croatia had 4 players with 4 goals: Mario Sostaric, Luka Lovre Klarica, David Mandic and Tin Lucin.
The Germany-France derby lived up to expectations and they scored 72 goals. The Germans dictated the pace, triumphed 38-34 and qualified for the semi-finals of EURO 2026. Juri Knorr had a dream offensive performance, collecting 10 goals. On the other side, Dika Mem's 11 goals and Hugo Descat's 9 successes proved to be in vain.
The semi-finals will take place on Friday, January 30, and the two finals will be played on Sunday, February 1. All matches in this phase will be played in Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning, Denmark.
