In Krasnoyarsk, a street was named after Buvaysar Saitiev

Buvaysar Saitiev Street appeared in the Sovetsky district of Krasnoyarsk, Mayor Sergei Vereshchagin reported in his Telegram channel.
He noted that it is located not far from the Olympic reserve sports school, which bears the name of our famous wrestler.
“I signed the corresponding resolution on the eve of a significant event – the Ivan Yarygin Cup. International freestyle wrestling competitions will start in our city this week for the 37th time,” said the head of the city.

The proposal to name the street came from representatives of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Wrestling Federation.
“Krasnoyarsk athletes have glorified our city throughout the world. Our common duty is to honor the memory of outstanding wrestlers!” said Sergei Vereshchagin.
Let us remind you that Buvaysar Saitiev was born in Khasavyurt, Dagestan Republic. He practiced freestyle wrestling from the age of 8, and at the age of 14 he became a “master of sports.” To combine study and sports, Buvaysar Saitiev at the age of 15 went to study at a boarding school in Novokuznetsk, and in 1994 he began training with the honored coach of the USSR and RSFSR Dmitry Mindiashvili in Krasnoyarsk.
By 2008 Saitiev was world champion six times, in 1995, 1997, 1998, 2001, 2003 and 2005. He was also European champion six times. Buvaysar was recognized as the best freestyle wrestler in the world five times: in 1996, 1997, 1998, 2003 and 2005.
In 2008 At the Beijing Olympics he won his third victory at his fourth Olympics. The most intense was the final fight against ex-Russian Soslan Tigiev, now representing Uzbekistan.
