Two politicians were detained in Krasnoyarsk for patronizing the theft of 90 million rubles from the purchase of bitumen

The investigation opened criminal cases of bribery as part of an investigation into the theft of 90 million rubles during the purchase of petroleum products for KraiDEO. Two new defendants were added to the two previously detained, the Investigative Committee said.

As follows from the investigation materials, in August and December 2024, the former deputy general director of KraiDEO for logistics, Alexander Sadko, while in Moscow, received a bribe in the amount of 6 million rubles from the director of KraiNefteOrgSintez LLC, Sergei Railyan.

It turned out that he acted as part of an organized group with two residents of Krasnoyarsk, namely ex-Deputy Minister of Transport of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexander Mordan and former city council deputy Vladislav Vychuzhanin.

The money, according to investigators, was transferred “for general patronage and the creation of favorable conditions for the activities of a commercial company when concluding and executing contracts with KraiDEO JSC, as well as eliminating negative consequences if the company violates the terms of the contract.”

Subsequently, the accounting department of the regional road organization transferred to the director “KNOS” more than 90 million rubles in addition to the contract cost.

A preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen for two new suspects. Director “KNOS” Sergey Railyan also transported from Moscow to Krasnoyarsk and placed in a pre-trial detention center. Former head of KraiDEO Alexander Sadko is already under house arrest on another matter.
