As soon as Macron took the stage in Davos wearing sunglasses, iVision Tech CEO Stefano Fulchir had to run for his money. The shopping frenzy meant that the company had to quickly launch a separate – simpler – website for purchasing the Pacific S01 model and similar ones: Double or Lamine aviator. Each price is approximately EUR 650 (approx. PLN 2,700). This is how the small Italian company ended up on everyone's lips (or rather noses).

Buyers flocked not only to the glasses, but also to the iVision Tech shares. Their value increased by over 70% last week, raising the company's market value to EUR 19 million. The trend is not weakening. Fulchir himself described it as a “wow effect”.

In his speech, Donald Trump tried to mock the president of France for wearing these glasses. However, he briefly commented on the matter: there was an incident that resulted in an unsightly appearance, hence his choice of glasses.

Why iVision?

As Fulchir points out in an interview for Bloomberg, the Elysée Palace contacted the company because Macron wanted to give it as a diplomatic gift to a high-ranking official. during the G20 summit glasses that were made in France. He then bought a pair for himself.

We offered to send him a pair for free, but he insisted that he wanted to pay for them, adds the head of the company.

Maison Henry Jullien is a French manufacturer of glasses belonging to the Italian company iVision Tech. It is headquartered in Milan and listed on the Milan Stock Exchange.
