On the occasion of Russian Student Day, leaders of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the regional capital, as well as other politicians, shared memories of their years at the university.
Thus, the mayor of the city Sergei Vereshchagin took part in the blitz survey, writes gornovosti.ru. Krasnoyarsk students also answered questions with him.
In the video, the mayor recalled that the most delicious food for him at that time was sausages in dough from a stall on Perenson Street: “It seems to me that at that time there was nothing tastier for me.” He advised students not to skip course material, especially the first two courses, not to be shy about asking questions and developing self-discipline.
“From session to session, students definitely have a lot of fun. I remember that we even had fun during the session. This is probably the most wonderful age, a stage in life, when there are no high social, work, or family obligations yet, you have just emerged from adolescence. I sincerely envy, remembering my student years,” he concluded.
Let us add that Sergey Vereshchagin studied at the Krasnoyarsk State Technical University with a degree in Economics and Management at Enterprises (Energy Sector), where he received the qualification of an economist-manager.
On social networks, the former mayor of Krasnoyarsk and now State Duma deputy Sergei Eremin published his photo the day before the start of school on August 31, 1993. “He who has once tasted discovery remains young in spirit forever,” he wrote.
Senator from the Krasnoyarsk Territory and ex-governor Alexander Uss also congratulated the students and showed archival photos. He called this period “the starting period, and therefore very significant and, of course, very bright.”
Governor Mikhail Kotyukov noted in his post that his student years were interesting and eventful. He recalled how quickly he made friends with his classmates, especially during field trips, which brought the group together. The governor added that he combined study with work and appreciated mutual assistance when friends shared notes. Kotyukov wished current students to achieve as much as possible, mastering their future profession and making friends.
Let us remind you that on January 25, Russia celebrates Student Day (Tatyana’s Day). The history of the holiday of Russian students is closely connected with the history of Moscow University. By decree of Empress Elizabeth Petrovna, it began its work on January 25, 1755 – St. Tatiana's Day. From that time on, the holiday began to be celebrated in Moscow, and later this practice migrated to other cities. In 2005, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which Student Day on January 25 became the country's official holiday.
