The expensive parcel was discovered by employees of the Central Postal Customs during scanning. Cash (2 million in rubles), eight earrings, a brooch and tablas were wrapped in foil and hidden among the things that the Velikiy Ustyug man had declared in advance.
Law enforcement officers opened a criminal case under the article “Illegal movement of goods and (or) vehicles of international transportation across the customs border of the Customs Union.” If the examination shows that the pills are prohibited in the Russian Federation, then a criminal offense may also be added to it.
