The Premier League leaders have the 25-year-old Argentine forward on their transfer list as they look to strengthen their attacking line.

Arsenal are seriously considering a move for Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid, a move that could surprise the transfer market this summer, according to ESPN.
According to the aforementioned source, Arsenal are planning to make a bid for him in the summer and not during the winter transfer window. Barcelona have a strong interest in Alvarez, but ongoing financial difficulties appear to complicate a potential deal of such magnitude. Julian is believed to have a huge €500m release clause in his contract, but sources in Spain suggest Madrid would demand €100m this summer if they were willing to sell him.
The Argentine has a contract until 2030 with the Spanish team.

Alvarez joined the Madrid club in the summer of 2024 from Manchester City in a transfer worth €75m and has since scored 40 goals in 85 appearances for the Spanish capital side.
