Together with the USA and Europe, Ukraine will achieve a just peace based on strength – Yulia Tymoshenko spoke at the extraordinary summit of EU leaders.
She emphasized that the meetings and negotiations in Washington are an important step towards ending the war.
“Together with the USA and Europe, Ukraine will achieve a just peace based on the strength, unity and indomitability of our people,” Tymoshenko is convinced.
The event was opened by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, who told the participants about the negotiations in Washington with the participation of the President of the United States, European leaders and the President of Ukraine.
During the summit, there was also talk of a peaceful settlement, which should be based on 4 main principles: immediate cessation of fire; strong security guarantees; the exclusive right of Ukraine to decide the fate of its territory; resolving humanitarian issues, including the exchange of prisoners of war and the return of Ukrainian children. Separately, it was discussed the need to have a plan B in case the Russian side sabotages the peace process and continues aggression.
