According to information from the Polish Press Agency, these actions are the result of detected irregularities in the HR and financial policies of the SOP. The ministry reported that the duties of the commandant are taken over by the current deputy, Colonel Tomasz Jackowicz.
PAP sources related to the services indicate that the decision to initiate disciplinary proceedings is a consequence of the results of the inspection carried out at the SOP. The inspection revealed irregularities in the formation's personnel and financial policy.
Karol Nawrocki did not agree to dismiss the head of the SOP
President Karol Nawrocki did not agree to the dismissal of the head of the SOP, Brig. Radosław Jaworski. The suspension of the head of the SOP does not require the president's consent and in this situation, the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration assumes full responsibility for the functioning of the formation, said the head of the president's office, Paweł Głosernaker.
Head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration: personnel decisions will be made in the SOP
Last week, Minister of Internal Affairs Marcin Kierwiński announced that personnel decisions would be made after the inspection at the SOP is completed. In the Third Program of Polish Radio on January 13, he emphasized that there were issues in the management of the SOP that required improvement, and he had his own accusations against General Jaworski regarding the management of the formation.
The Ministry informed that a “multi-faceted inspection” had been carried out at the SOP for several months.. It was started after last year's theft of cars belonging to the family of Prime Minister Donald Tusk. At that time, General Jaworski was on overdue leave and later on sick leave. The duties of the commander were then performed by Colonel Krzysztof Król.

The State Protection Service was established by the Act of December 8, 2017. The State Protection Service ensures the safety of the most important persons in the state as well as facilities and foreign establishments of the Republic of Poland.
The Commander of the State Protection Service is appointed and dismissed by the Prime Minister, but in consultation with the President. The regulations allow the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration to initiate disciplinary proceedings against the commander of this formation, which may result in dismissal from service.
