Luis Enrique (55 years old), the coach of PSG, did not censor himself in the interview after the away defeat against Sporting Lisbon, score 1-2, in the 7th stage of the Champions League group.
The trophy holder dominated the match, but was defeated in the end, thanks to the successful “double” of the Colombian Luis Suarez, former player at Olympique Marseille.
Luis Enrique didn't hold back after PSG was beaten by Sporting: “Shit football!”
“We lost because they scored two goals and our team only scored one. That was our best away game. I'm proud of the players. I'm confident that with that kind of attitude we'll go far.
The result is disappointing, for which we are sorry. Throughout the match we saw only one team on the field. We were stronger than our opponent, who also played well.
It's disappointing because it's unfair. Now it's hard to talk about football. Shit football!” said Luis Enrique, according to sportal.bg.
PSG had 75% possession in the match at Estadio Jose Alvalade and 28 chances to score, but the home team won in the end.
PSG managed to open the scoring in the 30th minute, but Zaire-Emery's goal was disallowed by the VAR for an attacking foul.
The opener would go to striker Luis Suarez in the 74th minute, but PSG restored parity just 5 minutes later through Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
PSG immediately returned to the offensive, but the coup de grace was given by Sporting, through the same Luis Suarez, who brought victory to his team with the goal scored in the 90th minute.
Both teams have 13 points and are in the top 8, but the standings may change depending on Wednesday's games. PSG still have Newcastle to play at home, while Sporting will travel to Bilbao for the final leg.
