As we wrote on Monday, Donald Trump invited, among others, Alexander Lukashenko to become co-founder of the Peace Council. This is an institution designed by the US president that would manage the Gaza Strip. It will include, among others: Marco Rubio, Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, Tony Blair. Alexander Lukashenko's administration responded to the American leader's proposal. “On behalf of the Republic of Belarus, the President signed the document on Belarus' accession to the Peace Council and the implementation of the provisions of the Peace Council Charter. This is fully consistent with the established procedure set out in the letter of US President Donald Trump,” reads a message on Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko's Telegram channel.

Donald Trump is to head the Peace Council. According to some media, permanent membership will cost over USD 1 billion. It is not clear how many leaders were invited to the Peace Council, although the media report about 60 heads of state and government.
