Mihai Stoica (60 years old), the president of the FCSB Board of Directors, was the main target of the Pitesti fans at the match between FC Argeș and FCSB, a match that opened Superliga football in 2026 and which ended with home victory, score 1-0after the goal scored by Yanis Pîrvu.

The champion's officials were apostrophized even before the match. At the moment when the stadium announcer was introducing the visiting team, Mihai Stoica and the other FCSB officials were heading towards the box, passing the home supporters. Only a few meters away, they were met with rude abuse.

“Fuck my mother!” and “To the Peasants!” were just some of the expressions addressed to the red-blue delegation, and the main target was Mihai Stoica.

MM Stoica, after the tense moments with Argeș fans: “There was a child who cursed me from half a meter away”

The FCSB official later explained what happened and recounted an episode that particularly angered him:

There was a child who cursed me from half a meter away. When I went up, I pray, a lot said to the box, in that cosmelia, where I saw the match, some people cursed me, like that… but, you know, I'm used to people cursing me from 20 meters away, that, no… but to curse you from half a meter away, it's a little more annoying. But that's it, nothing else.

There was a boy who followed me and said: «you destroyed Romanian football! you destroyed Romanian football!” I say, what's up, boy, aren't you feeling well? This cold broke you. And there was another kid who cursed at me from half a meter away and I asked him if he still wanted to see the match or if he wanted to…”

The FCSB official harshly criticized the gendarmerie: “If they did their duty”

MM Stoica claimed that such behaviors are tolerated in stadiums due to the lack of reaction of law enforcement.

“No, there was no incident in my opinion, people swear, what to do. Because there is a problem: the gendarmerie was there. If the Gendarmerie did their duty, they would stop swearing at people. Because if I swear at you on the street, I'm immediately detained and fined for insulting and… but in the stadium anything is allowed.

I mean, the man swears at me in front of the gendarme, and the gendarme looks and says “come on, move on”. Well, why? Take him and give him a fine, so that he never swears againthat the fines are quite high.

Well, but give him a fine, why let him curse me, when I go my own way. But if, please… Go faster. Well, why should I go faster? Do your job,” said Mihai Stoica, according to fanatik.ro.
