Outrageous situation in the area dedicated to journalists at FC Argeș

FC Arges – FCSB. Before the start of the first game of 2026 in the Superliga, in Mioveni, the journalists present faced an unpleasant situation. The seats intended for the press were occupied by the hosts' fans.
The space intended for media representatives was occupied by supporters, leaving the journalists without any free place in the area where they should have sat.
The increased interest in the match against the Romanian champions was seen even before the first whistle. Despite the low temperature, with -7 degrees being announced at the start of the game, the fans came to see their favorites at work in the first match of the new year.

Several supporters chose to watch the match from the press table and rushed to the area dedicated to journalists. They occupied that space and made themselves comfortable, opening the seed bags before the showdown.
The mayor of Pitești, Cristian Gentea, also sat at the press table, as well as the musician Bogdan Marin (Bodo), the soloist of the band Proconsul, together with the fans who occupied almost 90% of that area.
For this match, FC Argeș accredited 17 photojournalists and 27 reporters.
“I have never seen such a situation anywhere, we are in prehistory”, commented the moderator Mihai Mironică live, on the GSP Live Special show, seeing the situation in Mioveni.
It's not the first time when journalists face such a situation. In September 2024, in Clinceni, there was a similar situation, the press table being occupied by locals, at the Unirea Slobozia – Rapid 1-2 match, where many journalists did not have a place at the press table, the seats being occupied by Giulești supporters.
After that event, the Romanian Sports Press Association sent a statement to the Professional Football League in which it complained about what happened.
