New details have appeared in the media about the murder of a resident of the Krasnoyarsk Territory at a foreign resort.

Let us recall that at the beginning of January of this year in Thailand, the body of a plastic surgeon, a native of Severo-Yeniseisk Timofey Borisov, was found in a room at the Devari Hotel. The examination revealed signs of violent death; the man was 41 years old. According to the forensic medical examination, the preliminary cause of death is multiple skull fractures and severe traumatic brain injury.

“According to the mother of the deceased, shortly after arriving in Pattaya, the son called her and casually said that he had become an unwanted witness to the rape of a girl. Whether these events are connected remains to be determined by the investigation,” the journalists said.

Later, new details of the murder of the Russian surgeon emerged. Thus, “Moskovsky Komsomolets” quotes the wordsThe deceased's memorial (she is now in Pattaya), who stated that the story about the mother's call may be a fiction:

“First, I’ll explain about my mother, to whom Timofey allegedly called and talked about rape. It doesn't look like he called her; there's no ringing sign on the phone. We need to look for camera footage and witnesses.”

When asked about his family, the interlocutor replied that Timofey lived alone and came on vacation without his loved ones:

“He had no family. I came alone on a voucher. I live here myself periodically. When everything happened, she raised everyone to their feet. And yes, the actual reason for the murder is unknown. There are only assumptions. The fact is that he settled in an unfinished hotel. Construction and renovations are underway on the upper floors. There are a lot of migrant workers there. They could have just gone to rob his room. And he returned at the wrong time. But these are just my guesses.”

The woman also described Timofey as a calm and non-conflict person: “He was a respected surgeon, a cheerful and good person. He couldn't get involved anywhere. This is simply impossible!”

The version that the doctor could have witnessed rape was met with skepticism by Russians living in Pattaya, notes Moskovsky Komsomolets. In the comments, compatriots pointed out the presence of cameras in and around the hotel, as well as the fact that local media almost did not write about the incident. Some speculated that the attack could have been related to an attempted robbery or a conflict with outsiders.

“I’ve lived here for 12 years, everything has happened, but rape? I am tormented by doubts. It's a murky situation. In what kind of bushes could they have been raped if they weren’t there? Only three scanty palm trees?” one compatriot wrote on the Internet.

Another agreed that the story seemed strange:

“There are cameras everywhere in the hotel corridor, at the entrance, on the street. They belong to different departments. And they work. Now this is tough. The hotel is large, the corridors are long, people live around. Did no one hear anything? And the local press wrote nothing about this case. Here, they wrote about the Frenchman who fell from the 5th floor. There is also information about the Russian who started a fight in front of the store. And not a single line about the murder in the hotel. And where could he have seen the rape? While in a hotel room? If this is all real, I would bet not on the Thais, but on the foreigners.”

According to a friend of the murdered surgeon, the costs of transporting the body will likely be covered by the insurance company. And after the resonance on social networks, consular services got in touch. They plan to bury Timofey in his homeland in Severo-Yeniseisk.
